My manager recommended me this book and oh my god I couldn’t stop once I started.

Thrilling story about someone being made head of IT at a company and then turning the ship around for the whole company through improving their software.

Learned so much about how old software systems used to work. Gained a lot of appreciation for everything we have in the modern day.

The book does have a lot of useful information. It tries to teach you about devops philosophies and why it’s so important. It shows you what a world without devops looks like. Also the stuff on the 3 types of work was super interesting.

I would not have read this book if it wasn’t for my manager recommending it to me. I don’t even know if I would be able to find it through surfing the internet etc. Other people recommending books is the best way to find really cool stuff!
