Fantastic short story that teaches you to that, giving is what makes you successful.
5 rules to follow:
- The law of value
- The law of compensation
- The law of influence
- The law of authenticity
- The law of receptivity
1. The law of value
Your true worth is measured by how much you give in value than you take in payment. Give as much value as possible for something for the payment you take for that value.
2. The law of compensation
Your compensation is directly correlated with how many lives you can touch with the value you provide. The more people you can impact the more you get compensated for it.
3. The law of Influence
Your influence is determined by how abundantly you put others' interest above yours. Going 50/50 is net negative. Never keep count. Put others first and the more you will be rewarded.
4. The law of authenticity
The most valuable gift you have to offer is yourself. Be a good listener. A good friend. Someone who pays attention.
5. The law of receptivity
To give to others fully, you have to be open to receiving. Humans breathe in oxygen and give out carbon dioxide. Plants take in carbon dioxide and give out oxygen. There's always giving and receiving taking place. I really liked that analogy.
This is just a simplest summary of what I took away from the book. It's a very short read and I recommend everyone to read it. You can learn a lot about success just from this short book.
